A bathroom is the smallest room in the house but needs the most trades. Plumbers, electricians, waterproofers, tilers and cabinetmakers all work in the same few square metres. How well the finished room works depends on who comes in when, and on what is checked before the next trade starts.

Bathroom Renovation Murrumbeena specialises in complete bathroom renovations. We take on the whole job, from planning and strip-out through to the new fixtures and handover, so you don’t have to organise separate trades and hope their work lines up.
Most of our work is full bathroom renovations, ensuite renovations and small bathroom renovations. The same wet-area skills also cover laundry renovations and leaking shower repairs, where the job is often to fix what went wrong the first time.

EVERY TRADE, IN THE RIGHT ORDER
Every renovation follows the same twelve stages. Each stage has its own job and its own check before the next trade starts. Here’s the short version.
PLAN IT · STAGES 01–04
Consultation, assessment, design and quote. We look at the existing room, agree on a layout and choose materials. You see what’s included before any work is booked. Our bathroom design service covers this stage.
BUILD IT · STAGES 05–09
Materials, demolition, plumbing/electrical, waterproofing and tiling. Most of this work ends up hidden behind the walls and under the floor. We schedule it tightly so pipes, power and membranes are right before the tiles go on.
HAND IT OVER · STAGES 10–12
Fixtures, finishing and handover. Vanities, tapware, screens and cabinetry go in. Then come silicone, trims and the clean-up, and finally a walk-through of the finished room with you.

THE PARTS YOU NEVER SEE DECIDE THE PARTS YOU DO
Waterproofing
Tiles and grout aren’t waterproof. The membrane underneath does that job. We treat waterproofing as its own stage, not a quick coat before the tiler arrives. We take care over corners, junctions, penetrations and the floor falls to the drain, and the membrane is left to cure before anything goes on top.
Tiling
Good bathroom tiling starts with the set-out. We decide where cuts will land, line grout joints up with niches and fixtures, and keep the floor falling towards the waste. Those decisions are made before the first tile is stuck down.
Quality finishing
At the end of the job it’s the details that show: tidy silicone lines, flush trims, doors and drawers that close cleanly, and a room left ready to use. Finishing gets its own stage so it isn’t rushed at the end.
