Case studies are added as renovations are handed over and photographed, and none are published yet. Each one will use the same sheet: where it is, what kind of room it was, what the owners asked for and how each trade answered the brief. SEVEN THINGS EVERY PROJECT RECORDS
A finished room looks simple. The decisions behind it aren’t. Each sheet will start with the limits of the room, then cover what was decided, then show the result, so you can see why a drain moved, why a vanity went wall-hung or why a bath made way for a bigger shower.
When case studies are published, read one next to your own bathroom. If the room type and brief match yours, the design solution is the part to take into your bathroom design conversation.
01Location. The suburb, such as Murrumbeena, Hughesdale or Bentleigh East. Never a street address.
02Bathroom type. Full bathroom, ensuite, small bathroom, shower or laundry, linked to the matching service.
03Client brief. What wasn’t working in the old room and what the owners wanted from the new one.
04Before & after images. The room before work starts and at handover, shot from matching angles where the space allows.
05Design solution. The choices on layout, storage, drainage and lighting, and the reason for each one.
06Materials. Tiles, waterproofing, vanity, tapware and screens, as they were chosen for the room.
07Final result. How the finished room meets the brief, with a link to request a similar bathroom.
READ THE ROOM IN TWO FRAMES
Every case study will pair a before photo and an after photo of the same room. Until real projects are published, the two reference photos below are stock images of different rooms, not a matched pair. The first shows the working stage, with a tile being set by hand. The second shows the kind of finished bathroom you see at handover. When you read a real case study, don’t stop at the finishes. Check the things that are hard to change later: where the floor waste sits, how the screen meets the tiles, and whether the drawers clear the plumbing. Those details come from the waterproofing and bathroom tiling stages, not from the showroom.
